Objective To observe the curative effect of temporal orbicularis oculi muscle transposition surgery for senile lower eyelid entropion. Methods Seventy-eight patients including 93 eyes of senile lower eyelid entropion were treated with temporal orbicularis oculi muscle turn surgical treatment between May 2009 and January 2015. Six months after the operation, the rectification was evaluated. Results A total of 67 cases (72 eyes) finished the follow-up observation, among which 49 (51 eyes) had a good effect, 18 (21 eyes) had general effect, and 0 (0 eyes) had poor effect. No patients had such complications as infection or eyelid deformity. All the patients' corneal epithelial cell loss was cured after surgery. The skin of lower eyelid of these 67 cases (72 eyes) were raised to various degrees. Conclusion The orbicularis oculi muscle temporal transposition surgery for the treatment of senile entropion can fulfill both clinical treatment and aesthetic need, and will prevent recurrence in a certain period.
