目的：研究细胞间粘附分子-1(ICAM-1)和基质金属蛋白酶9(MMP-9)在足月及早产分娩发动前后孕妇子宫下段肌层中的表达，探讨ICAM-1和MMP-9在足月及早产分娩中的作用。方法：用免疫组织化学SP法检测ICAM-1和MMP-9在足月及早产分娩发动前后各组孕妇子宫下段肌层中的表达。结果：足月及早产分娩发动组中ICAM-1在子宫下段肌层血管内皮细胞上的表达均显著强于分娩未发动组。MMP-9在分娩发动子宫下段间质中的表达也均显著强于分娩发动前。分娩发动后白细胞浸润间质较分娩发动前明显增加。结论：ICAM-1和MMP-9在足月及早产分娩发动中显著增加，它们在分娩发动中具有重要作用。早产发生机制与足月分娩发动相似，类似于急性炎症反应。
