Introduction of the Journal
CHINESE JOURNAL OF BASES AND CLINICS IN GENERAL SURGERY is a professional academic journal in charge of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and sponsored by West China Hospital of Sichuan University. The journal involves many subjects, including hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, vascular surgery, thyroid surgery, breast surgery, surgical nutrition, organ transplantation, hernia and abdominal wall surgery, basic surgery, etc. The journal publishes original articles of clinical investigation in general surgery and its related disciplines, as well as basic research and experimental study closely associated with general surgery. These may fall within the categories of editorial，expert commentary, basic and experimental study, clinic investigation, clinical experience, introduction of new procedures and new techniques, collection of innovation and complex surgery, MDT discussion of difficult and rare cases, abdominal images, review, case report, etc.
CHINESE JOURNAL OF BASES AND CLINICS IN GENERAL SURGERY has been indexed and abstracted in American CA, Ulrich PD, CABI (the British International Centre for agriculture and Bioscience), WPRIM, and Chinese CMB, CMCC, Chinese Medical Digests-Surgery, China Scientific Articles Index Database, China Journal Web, China Academic Journal (disc version), WanFang Data-Digital Journals, and CNKI. This journal is the source journal of China's scientific and technological papers statistical source journals, China's core journals of science and Technology (CATPCD), RCCSE, CJFD and CAJCED.
CHINESE JOURNAL OF BASES AND CLINICS IN GENERAL SURGERY acquired the excellent journal award of universities in Sichuan province, the second grade award of the second occasion excellent journal of Sichuan province, "outstanding quality of Journal Editing” of the National University Science Journal "Three Excellent" selection activity, and two consecutive sessions of Chinese boutique sci-tech periodicals， the second boutique sci-tech periodicals in Sichuan Province.
