Tian Zhipu, is a professor/chief physician in West China Hospital of Sichuan University,
nationally famous expert in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, winner of Outstanding Contribution Award of Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the founding editor, acted as editor-in-chief between 1994 and Oct. 2008.

Liu Lunxu, is a professor/chief physician, doctoral supervisor, vice dean of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK), internationally famous expert in thoracic surgery, vice chairman of Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, leader of Thoracoscopic Surgery Group of Chinese Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, vice chairman of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, chairman of Sichuan Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
He is the first one to carry out Thoracoscopic Radical Surgery of Lung Cancer in China. And He established the single-direction uniportal thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy internationally. Till now, single-direction uniportal thoracoscopic pulmonary lobectomy has been widely promoted and applied throughout China. He established the first effective treatment method for large vessel hemorrhage under endoscopy in the world－Thoracoscopic suction lateral pressure hemostasis method. He is also the first one in the world to carry out complete video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery of bronchial and/or pulmonary arterial resection and lobectomy of central lung cancer. In the Southwest China, he independently carried out a double lung transplantation. He is responsible for 3 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the lead of the team, he won one first prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award and one first prize of the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award.
