ObjectiveTo explore the technique of preoperative evaluation of video electroencephalography (VEEG) electrode fixation method.MethodsThe electrode fixation method was modified using a simple and easy-to-manufacture 3M decompression sticker designed by ourselves.ResultsUsing the modified electrode fixation method, compared with the traditional fixation method, the electrode displacement, shedding rate and pain score of the children were significantly lower (P<0.05). The incidence of skin pressure sore by traditional fixation method was 7.03%. The rate of improvement after release was 3.37%. Although it was not statistically significant, the incidence of pressure ulcers were reduced.ConclusionsEffectively reduce the adverse reactions such as electrode displacement, shedding, pain and skin pressure sore caused by wearing the electrode for a long time. It has the advantages of being simple, fast, safe, stable and humanized, and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
ObjectiveTo recognize the intraoperative recognition of parathyroid gland optical technology and explore its application value in thyroid surgery to protect the parathyroid gland.MethodsLiterature review was conducted on the principle and application status of intraoperative recognition of parathyroid gland optical technology by using " thyroidectomy” " parathyroid gland” " Near-Infrared imaging” " laser speckle contrast imaging”, and " optical coherence tomography” as retrieval terms to retrieve literatures.ResultsIntraoperative optical technique alone or in combination with contrast agent could improve the recognition rate of parathyroid gland, reduce the damage of feeding vessels, and thus reduce the incidence of postoperative hypocalcemia.ConclusionsTraditional intraoperative parathyroid gland recognition methods needs to be improved in real-time protection effectiveness and accuracy, and the combination of new optical technology and contrast agent can largely make up for these shortcomings, but there are still obstacles in the promotion.
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) and azathioprine (AZA) after renal transplantation. Method Searching: Medline, Embase, Cochrane library and Chinese Biomedicine database (CBM); identified the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and applied Revman 4.11 for statistical analyses. Results Twenty-two RCTs were identified, involving MMF and AZA for anti-rejection after renal transplantation. The data shown that MMF (2 g/d) was more beneficial than AZA in improving the graft survival rate of short periods and the long-term patient survival rate, but there was no statistical differences between MMF (3 g/d) with AZA. Whether in 6 months or in 1 year after renal transplantation, the use of MMF (2 g/d) or MMF (3 g/d) could markedly reduce the incidence of biopsy-proven rejection. Conclusions Comparing with AZA, MMF is a more potent immunosuppressive drug, and more efficient in reducing the acute rejection after renal transplantation. MMF can improve the graft and patient survival rate. The 2 gram per day is more acceptable.
ObjectiveTo explore the suitable method for isolation and maintenance of primary cultures of human gallbladder epithelial cells (GECs) for establishing the basis of research works in physiological function of gallbladder and its related diseases.MethodsGECs were isolated with collagenase type Ⅳ and blunt separation. The dishes were coated with fibronectin, laminin and polyDlysine respectively.Additional 10 ng/ml epidermal growth factor was added to DMEM medium containing 20% fetal calf serum. The cells were studied under light and electron microscope to determine their shape and distribution.ResultsEach gallbladder yielded approximately (1-5)×107columnar epithelial cells, greater than 95% of which were viable by trypan blue exclusion. The cells grew vigorously within one week which was flat and multangular in shape. CK19 expressed positive.Electron microscope showed typical gallbladder epithelia with microvilli, tight junctions and mucus droplets.ConclusionCombination of collagenase type Ⅳ,mechanical blunt separation and twostep attachment is of great benefit for separating and harvesting GEC.Fibronectin coated culture dish and DMEM medium containing 20% calf serum and 10 ng/ml hEGF is of great benefit for culturing gallbladder epithelial cells.
