Ambulatory surgery ward is a fast and effective way of treating, nursing and patients’ education. We report the practice of ambulatory surgery ward in West China Hospital of Sichuan University about patients’ reception, treatment and nursing, medical safety, health education and post-operative follow-up. Results show that ambulatory surgery ward would guarantee patients’ safety, shorten hospitalization days and decrease medical cost, with more than 98% of patients’ satisfaction.
【摘要】 探讨日间手术模式的运行流程及效果，并对日间手术的管理及优势予以总结。2009年10月-2011年2月，我中心采用日间手术模式对普外、儿外、泌尿、耳鼻喉、眼、消化、肾脏等疾病患者施行手术治疗。顺利完成日间手术约5 900余例，日间手术成功率100%，未发生1例因为迟发并发症而重新入院治疗事件，患者及家属对各自的治疗方案满意。合理的日间手术模式和流程，可以最大限度地减少医疗费用，缩短患者等待入院和行手术时间，提高床位周转率和利用率，符合医患双方的利益。【Abstract】 This article discusses the operating process and results of ambulatory surgery, and to summarize the management and advantages of ambulatory surgery. From October 2009 to February 2011, the mode of ambulatory surgery was used in our department to treat patients. General, pediatric, urological, otolaryngological, ophthalmological surgeries and surgeries for digestive system and kidney were completed in this mode. About 5 900 surgeries were completed successfully with a mission success rate of 100%. No rehospitalization event occurred because of late onset complications. Both patients and families were satisfied with the treatment. Reasonable mode and process of ambulatory surgery can decrease cost of the patients, shorten waiting time of being admitted and operated, and improve the turnover and using rates of beds. It will bring benefits for both hospitals and patients.
Objective To explore the feasibility and the security of one-day stay ward in stripping surgery of saphenous vein varicosity. Methods Two hundred and eighty two patients treated in our hospital in 2011 were enrolled in this study， according to the operation mode， these patients were divided into 2 groups， ninety patients in one-day stay ward group and one hundred and ninety two patients in in-patient group. Their clinical features and medical operation indexs（included preoperative waiting time， duration of hospital stay， and medical cost）were retrospectively analyzed. Results There was no statistical differences on clinical features between the two groups. But compared with in-patient group， the preoperative waiting time， duration of hospital stay， and medical cost were shorter or lower in one-day stay ward group （P＜0.05）. Conclusions The one-day stay ward operation mode can decrease preoperative waiting time， duration of hospital stay and medical cost significantly， and it also can ensure the safety of clinical treatment. So it’s worthy in the clinical promotion.
目的 探讨腹腔镜阑尾切除日间手术的优点、效果以及应用体会。方法 回顾性分析25例腹腔镜阑尾切除日间手术患者的临床资料。结果 手术时间30～80 min ,平均35 min。术后均未用止痛剂，无并发症发生，均痊愈出院。结论 腹腔镜阑尾切除日间手术是安全的，具有创伤小、恢复快、并发症少、住院时间短等优点。
ObjectiveTo analyze the reasons for operation cancellation, in order to improve the efficiency and quality of work in Day-surgery (DS) ward. MethodsRetrospective study and related factor analysis were carried out for 985 cases of canceled DS operations from October 2012 to October 2013. ResultsThe main factors for canceling DS operations included diseases, patients and relatives refusing operation, incomplete preoperative preparation and accidental events. ConclusionDS medical staff of each department should enhance the sense of responsibility and cooperation. Preoperative treatment of patients with chronic diseases and preoperative health education and psychological aids should be strengthened to reduce temporary cancellation of DS operations.
