In order to explore the application of the dielectric properties of white matter and grey matter in β, δ and γ dispersion transition zones used in clinical medicine and microwave imaging technology, we calculated the dielectric constant and its increment by using Cole-Cole equation. Based on the mutation of the increment of dielectric constant, the frequency range of three dispersions were evaluated. The dominate dispersion and the corresponding polarization mechanism were analyzed by using Cole-Cole circle. The results showed that there are 3 transition zones in brain white matter, which occur between β and δ dispersion, δ and γ dispersion and β and γ dispersion respectively. In grey matter, there are only 2 transition zones, which are between β and δ dispersion and δ and γ dispersion respectively. By comparing the frequency range of white matter and grey matter, the frequency range in white matter is broader than that in grey matter for the transition zone of β and δ dispersion with the β dispersion occupying dominate position in both tissues, and the corresponding polarization mechanism is interfacial polarization. For the transition zone of δ and γ dispersion, the frequency range in white matter is also broader than that in grey matter with the δ dispersion occupying dominate position in both tissues, and the corresponding polarization mechanism is orientation polarization. This study can provide basic theory and reference for diagnosis of brain diseases and microwave imaging technology.
Patients with chronic diseases usually face severe challenges during their transition from hospital to home, such as poor discharge preparation, the increased incidence of medical errors, insufficient self-care capability, and poor participation in healthcare decision, which can result in increased readmission and poor patient safety. This paper reviews the definition of transitional care, single-element transitional care intervention strategy, and multiple-element transitional care intervention strategy, in order to provide new insights into the development of effective and safe transitional care strategies in China.
ObjectiveTo study the clinical characteristics of patients with partial and transitional atrioventricular septal defects (P/TAVSDs) in our hospital, and to evaluate the early follow-up outcomes from a real-world research perspective.MethodsThe clinical data of all patients diagnosed with P/TAVSDs from January 1, 2018 to July 12, 2020, in our hospital were collected, and all patients' examination results were used as the real-world follow-up data, univariable Cox risk proportional model was used to analyze the outcomes. A total of 93 patients were finally included in the analysis, 72 with partial and 21 with transitional AVSD. There were 38 males and 55 females at age of 182.0 months (20.0 d to 779.5 months).ResultsUnivariable Cox proportional risk model suggested that at least one cardiac malformation (HR=15.00, 95%CI 3.00 to 75.00, P=0.001), preoperative moderate or greater mitral regurgitation (HR=6.60, 95%CI 1.70 to 26.00, P=0.007), and preoperative moderate or greater tricuspid regurgitation (HR=13.00, 95%CI 3.10 to 51.00, P<0.0001) were risk factors for moderate or greater postoperative atrioventricular valve regurgitation.ConclusionChildren with coarctation of the aorta or partial pulmonary vein connection, moderate or greater preoperative mitral regurgitation, and moderate or greater preoperative tricuspid regurgitation need to be alerted to the risk of moderate or greater postoperative atrioventricular valve regurgitation. Real-world data, with relaxed statistical P values and combined expertise, can suggest clinical conclusions that are close to those of high-quality retrospective studies.
Objective To summarize the research progress of health care transition (HCT) for pediatric liver transplant recipients. Method The literatures of HCT for pediatric liver transplant recipients were reviewed, and the concept, related factors, interventions and methods of health care transition were summarized. ResultsHCT is the process of moving from a child/family-centered model of care to an adult or patient-centered model of health care, and influenced by health care provider, child and caregivers, and other factors such as medical policy and economic level. Personalized transition program has more benefits for improving the experience and health outcomes of patients. Conclusion problem-oriented and demand-oriented transition program is recommended, early intervention to improve self-management abilities of children, information construction of pediatric medical system and multidisciplinary team building are important for improving health outcomes of patients.
