Objective To investigate the antibiotic resistance and their genetic homology of stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolated from January 2005 to February 2006 at intensive care unit(ICU) of 6 hospitals in Bejing area.Methods The minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) of 12 antibiotics against 82 strenotrophomonas maltophilia was determined by broth dilution method.PFGE was used to analyze the homology of 82 stenotrophomonas maltophilia.Results The drug sensitivity tests in vitro showed these strains were resistance to commonly-used antibiotics.Antibiotics with sensitive rate over 50% included Doxycycline, gatifloxacin,cefoperazone-sulbactam,levofloxacin,Compound sulfamethoxazole,Ceftazidime and ticarcillin- clavulanate. 7-18 DNA bands of different size were present in the gel and different homology was shown among the 82 strains.Four couples with homology over 85% were isolated from the same ICU.Three strain were same clones in PLA General Hospitals first hospital.2 couples from the different wards had homology of 80.6% and 79.6% of,respictively.Others strains had either poor or no homology.Conclusions No clonal outbreak is certified at ICU of 6 hospitals in Beijing area. There are only vertical dissemination of single clone in 6 ICU wards.PFGE is an effective approach for drug resistance test and epidemic analysis.
Objective To investigate the characteristics of ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP)caused by Stenotrophomonas maltophilia(Sm)in ICU。Methods The clinical data of 39 patients with VAP caused by Sm,from Jan 2001 to Dec 2006,were retrospectively investigated.Results In 15 kinds of antibiotics sensitivity test,all cases showed 100% resistance to 12 kinds of antibiotics except sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim。ticarcillin/clavulanic acid and ciprofloxacin with sensitivity rate of 46.2% , 30.8% and 12.8% .respectively.92.30% of Sm VAP were CO—infected with other microorganisms and 79.5% of VAP were late-onset.The use of broad-spectrum antibiotics.especially carbapenem.and prolonged mechanical ventilation more than 7 days were risk factors for Sm VAP.Morbidity of Sm VAP was 87.2% .Conclusions Sm VAP has an important role in ICU infections with high morbidity and CO-infection rate.It should be alerted to the possibility of Sm VAP in the case of when prolonged ventilation (gt;7 days)or carbapenem is used.
ObjectiveTo systematically review the pharmacoeconomics of high-dose intravenous iron ferric carboxymaltose in the treatment of patients with iron deficiency anemia. MethodsPharmacoeconomic studies of ferric carboxymaltose in the treatment of patients with iron deficiency anemia were searched in PubMed, The Cochrane Library, York University CRD, Web of Science, EBSCO, CNKI, WanFang Data and VIP databases, and relevant health technology assessment websites from inception to September 30th, 2021. A descriptive analysis was performed after two reviewers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies. ResultsA total of 11 studies were included, most of them compared the health economics of ferric carboxymaltose with other therapies from a hospital perspective. The main costs included in these studies were costs for iron, infusion, blood transfusion, EPO, hospitalization, and transportation, as well as productivity cost. The ferric carboxymaltose was presumed to be more economical than other intravenous irons. ConclusionIt is suggested that the ferric carboxymaltose be considered in more clinical settings to improve the ischemic condition of patients with iron deficiency anemia, so as to promote the rational utilization of medical resources.
