ObjectiveTo systematically review the influencing factors of breast cancer patients in treatment decision-making. MethodsWeb of Science, PubMed, EMbase, The Cochrane Library, JBI Evidence Synthesis, CINAHL, CNKI, WanFang Data, VIP and CBM databases were electronically searched to collect qualitative studies about the influencing factors of breast cancer patients in treatment decision-making from inception to October 2021. Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies. Then, the results were combined using integrating methods. ResultsA total of 13 studies were included. Sixty-seven results were extracted, with 22 results retained after incorporation and removal of duplications. The 22 results were grouped according to their similarities to form 6 categories. These categories resulted in two synthesized findings: influencing factors of patient participation in treatment decision-making and integration results and influencing factors of patients' treatment options. ConclusionBreast cancer patient participation in treatment decisions is influenced not only by internal factors, but also by family and external situational factors. When patients choose treatment, they consider not only their personal values and preferences, but also the impact of treatment on their families and their expectations. The choice is also influenced by social and cultural aspects.
ObjectiveTo explore the safety, effectiveness and minimally invasive cosmetic evaluation results of treatment for papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) by video-assisted lateral neck dissection (VALND) or open lateral neck dissection (OLND).MethodsThe clinical data of patients with PTC who received surgical treatment in the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School from June 2015 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The data of 94 cases in the VALND group (n=47) and the OLND group (n=47) were finally included in this study, and perioperative conditions and minimally invasive cosmetic evaluation results between the two groups were studied.ResultsThere were no statistical differences of lateral metastatic lymph node numbers, operative time, postoperative drainage volume, drainage tube removal time and postoperative hospitalization days between the two groups (P>0.05). The lateral retrieved lymph node numbers, intraoperative blood loss, the degree of cervical paresthesia and the degree of cosmetic satisfaction in the VALND group were significantly better than those in the OLND group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference of surgical complications between the two groups (P>0.05).ConclusionWithout sacrificing surgical safety and effectiveness, VALND has better cosmetic effect and less neck trauma than OLND, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
Objective To visually present the related research progress, hot spots, frontiers, and trends of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction (GSZD) in China in the recent 11 years, aiming at better guiding related clinical research. Methods The published GSZD-related articles were searched in China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, Wanfang Medical Network, and VIP Chinese Journals Service Platform, and the time limit was from January 1st, 2012 to December 8th, 2022. After screening, CiteSpace 6.1.R3 software was used to visually analyze the included documents. Results A total of 1791 articles were retrieved, and 595 articles were included after screening. The number of papers published in the year showed a fluctuating upward trend. The included articles were from 179 journals and 21 universities and research institutes, among which 12 institutions (including 11 journals) published more than or equal to 10 articles, the cumulative number of articles published by these 12 institutions accounted for 27.23% of the total number of articles published, and Journal of Rheumatology and Arthritis published the most papers (22 articles). The main author teams in this field were Gao Yongxiang, Liu Zhenli, and Fang Shubiao. Through keyword analysis, 8 co-occurrence keywords, 10 clustering modules, and 25 emergent keywords were formed. Conclusions In the future, GSZD-related research will continue to grow, and it has great development potential. Research teams should closely cooperate strengthen exchanges, and develop their potential under the guidance of the idea of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine, to help it develop better and better serve clinical applications.
