ObjectiveTo explore the effect of clinical pathway in peri-operative nursing management of patients with esophageal carcinoma. MethodsA total of 120 patients with esophageal cancer who underwent the operation between January 2010 and April 2012 were divided into control group and trial group. the patients in control group was given conventional esophageal carcinoma peri-operative management; while the ones in the trial group received clinical pathway standardized management. The hospitalization days, costs of hospitalization, complications, satisfaction of the patients and families were compared between the two groups. ResultsThe length of hospitalization days and costs in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.01); the patients and families satisfaction in the trial group was superior to the control group (P<0.05); the difference in complications occurrence between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05). ConclusionThe clinical pathway of peri-operative nursing management for patients with esophageal cancer could effectively decrease the costs, improve satisfaction of the patients and families, and ensure the quality of care and improve the nursing efficiency.
ObjectiveTo explore the management mode of head nurse-grading training, in order to enhance the management of nursing care and promote nursing quality. MethodFrom June 2013 to June 2014, we established head nurse-grading training management institutions and designed the head nurse-grading training management scheme, based on which we carried out training for assistant nurses, nursing officers, and new and old head nurses. The effects were compared before and after the training. ResultsAfter the implementation of grading training of head nurses, the quality of nursing management, nursing quality, satisfaction of nurses and patients were all significantly improved (P<0.05). ConclusionsGrading training for head nurses and let the most appropriate nursing staff work at the best of time on the most needed jobs can constantly improve quality of care and meet the needs of nurses and patients.
Objective To carry out the systematic clinical management to reduce the incidence of femoral pseudoaneurysm after interventional treatment. Methods A historical controlled study was used to compare the management effect before (from October 2012 to October 2013) and after (from March 2014 to March 2015) the application of doctor-nurse integrated systematic clinical management mode. This work mode enhanced cooperation between doctors and nurses, formed the clinical path for nursing workflows and contingency plans, and strengthened specialized education and training for nurses. Results After the implementation of systematic clinical management, the incidence of femoral pseudoaneurysm was significantly lower than before (1.0% vs. 2.7%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The systematic clinical management, carrying out in the doctor-nurse integration mode, can improve the quality of nursing and reduce the incidence of femoral pseudoaneurysm. And the management model has achieved remarkable results. So it is worth to be applied in the clinical practices.
ObjectiveTo establish a systematic, scientific, and sensitive index system to provide a scientific basis for quality evaluation and comprehensive quality management of day surgery nursing.MethodsThe databases of Wanfang, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, CQVIP, PubMed, and Web of Science were searched. The retrieval time was from the establishment of the databases to 15th July, 2019. Based on the “structure-process-outcome” management model, Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of expert consultation for nursing experts related to day surgery in five tertiary hospitals. The results of the consultation were sorted out and the consensus of experts was obtained, so as to determine the quality-sensitive indicators of day surgery nursing.ResultsA total of 20 nursing experts participated in the questionnaire survey. The final evaluation indicators determined by expert correspondence included 1 structural indicator, 9 process indicators, and 4 outcome indicators.ConclusionsThe construction of quality evaluation standard of day surgery nursing not only embodies the connotation of nursing management of day surgery, but also puts forward clear requirements and quality standards for specialized nursing management. It has high reliability, scientificity, and strong operability, which can effectively improve the quality of nursing management and service level of day surgery.
