Clinical efficacy evaluation is important for the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In view of the existing accumulation and current situation of the TCM clinical efficacy evaluation, based on the international perspective, and taking the rational and objective evaluation of TCM clinical efficacy and safety as the foundation, in order to enhance TCM evidence level to support clinical decision-making and promote TCM industry and TCM internationalization development, the State Administration of TCM entrusted China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences to establish China Center for Evidence Based Traditional Chinese Medicine (CCEBTCM). CCEBTCM is expected to optimize the allocation of evidence-based research resources in TCM field to further integrate advantages of evidence-based TCM research teams, promote consensus on evidence-based TCM standards, share evidence-based TCM data or information and lead cultural exchanges between Chinese and overseas. In this way, the status and influence of TCM in the world will be enhanced so that it can better serve global health.
Scientism and humanism are two main views on the development of medicine, which run through both theory and practice. Under the guidance of the modern medical concept of " bio-psycho-social”, the views of scientism and humanism on medicine have reached an unprecedented level of development and integration, which jointly determine the connotations and demands of current medicine. As one of the current mainstream medical models, evidence-based medicine (EBM) has played an important role in the management of current medical theories and practices. Meanwhile, EBM has also encompassed views of scientism and humanism in its own development and has successfully shaped the knowledge and methodological system. EBM will continue to gain insight into the characteristics of views of scientism and humanism in the future of medicine to improve itself and should pay more attention to the development of humanism view. As an important branch discipline of EBM, evidence-based Chinese medicine may become a model of the perfect combination of scientism view and humanism view.
The setting and adjustment of ventilator parameters need to rely on a large amount of clinical data and rich experience. This paper explored the problem of difficult decision-making of ventilator parameters due to the time-varying and sudden changes of clinical patient’s state, and proposed an expert knowledge-based strategies for ventilator parameter setting and stepless adaptive adjustment based on fuzzy control rule and neural network. Based on the method and the real-time physiological state of clinical patients, we generated a mechanical ventilation decision-making solution set with continuity and smoothness, and automatically provided explicit parameter adjustment suggestions to medical personnel. This method can solve the problems of low control precision and poor dynamic quality of the ventilator’s stepwise adjustment, handle multi-input control decision problems more rationally, and improve ventilation comfort for patients.
