  • INTESTINAL STEM CELLS AND TISSUE ENGINEERING TECHNIQUE USED IN TREATING INTESTINAL DISEASES

    Objective To review the development of researches on the stem cells and the tissue engineering technique used in the intestines. Methods We comprehensively reviewed the literature related to the stem cells and the tissue engineering technique used in the intestines, and summarized the conclusions made by the researches concerned. Results The researches on the stem cells and the tissue engineering technique used in the intestines were attractive topics in the recent years and obtained some developments, especially in the field dealing with the characteristics, proliferation and differentiation of the intestinal stem cells as well as the tissue engineering framework of the small intestinal submucosa in vivo. However, the markers for the differentiation of the intestinal stem cells were still a critical problem, which had not been solved yet, and besides, the researches on the intestinal tissue engineering were still in the initial stage. Conclusion There is a broad prospective application of the intestinal stem cells and the tissue engineering technique to the intestinal problem solution. Substantial achievements can be obtained in the treatment of the inflammatory bowel disease, inan exploration on the oncogenesis mechanism, and in the clinical application ofthe intestinal tissue engineering.

  • Efficacy of Kangai Injection Combined with Chemotherapy for Postoperative Rectal Cancer Patients

    目的 评价康艾注射液辅助化学疗法(化疗)对直肠癌术后临床疗效、生活质量及其不良反应的影响。 方法 2010年4月-2011年2月收治的50例直肠癌术后化疗患者,随机分为试验组与对照组,每组25例。两组均采用FOLFOX方案化疗,在化疗同时,试验组予静脉滴注康艾注射液辅助治疗。连续治疗6个周期,比较两组临床疗效、生活质量及其不良反应情况。 结果 试验组治疗有效率为84%,对照组为88%,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);两组生活质量改善率差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);试验组胃肠道反应、白细胞计数下降发生率低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。 结论 康艾注射液用于直肠癌术后的辅助化疗可降低化疗的不良反应。

  • Protective Effect of Ligustrazine on IschemiaReperfusion Injury of Rat Liver

    【Abstract】ObjectiveTo explore the protective effect of ligustrazine on the ischemia-reperfusion injury of rat liver. MethodsNinety-six healthy SD rats were divided randomly into three groups: sham operation group, ischemiareperfusion group(I/R group) and ischemia plus ligustrazine reperfusion group(therapy group).The plasm ALT,AST and LDH were measured before operation,at thirty minutes,six hours and twentyfour hours after operation. One week survival and liver pathological change of every group were observed, and the hepatocyte apoptosis index was measured simultaneously.ResultsOne week survival of therapy group was higher than that of I/R group (P<0.05). The plasm ALT,AST and LDH of therapy group and I/R group were higher than those of the sham operation group significantly (P<0.05), and those of therapy group were lower than those of the I/R group (P<0.05). Light microscopy indicated that the liver sinusoid and central veins were congested remarkably after operation, the hepatocyte necrosis in I/R group was more severe than that in therapy group, and the hepatocyte apoptosis index of I/R group was higher than that of therapy group (P<0.05). ConclusionThe protective effect of ligustrazine on ischemia-reperfusion injury of rat liver is obvious.

  • Role of Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor α in Pathogenesis of Colorectal Cancer

    Objective To investigate the role of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor α (PPARα) in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer. Method The literatures about PPARα and the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer were reviewed and analyzed. Result The relationships of PPARα to the proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation of colorectal cancer cells in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer were controversial. Conclusions PPARα might be involved in the regulation of proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells, but the pathogenesis and the up- and down-stream signal pathways are not elucidated. In additional, PPARα might partly be involved in the mechanism of drug resistance of chemotherapy drugs for colorectal cancer, but the role is not very clear yet. So more research works need to be done about the relationship of PPARα to pathogenesis of colorectal cancer.
