Stroke with hereditary cerebral small vessel diseases is a rare disease. Its clinical manifestations include early-onset ischemic lacunar or hemorrhagic stroke with high disability. Its typical imaging markers include lacunes, white matter hyperintensities, microbleeds, intracerebral hemorrhages located in deep or lobe of brain, crotical microinfarcts, and enlarged perivascular spaces. As the clinical and neuroimaging signs and symptoms of hereditary cerebral small vessel diseases often overlap with sporadic cerebral small vessel diseases, it is hard to diagnose. This article summarizes the clinical features, importance of obtaining valuable family history, genetic diagnosis, and management of stroke with hereditary cerebral small vessel disease to improve its accuracy diagnosis.
ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical characteristics of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) complicated with intracranial infection and to explore the nursing countermeasures. MethodsWe retrospectively analyzed the clinical features, laboratory examination indexes, and nursing methods of 12 AIDS patients complicated with intracranial infection between January and December 2010. ResultsIn the 12 patients, 8 were male, 4 were female; 11 were married and 1 was unmarried. The first symptom of headache occurred in 8 patients, and feverin 4 patients. Detection of HIV-1P24 antigen in all the 12 patients with HIV was positive for nucleic acid analysis. After treatment and symptomatic care, 3 cases were cured, 3 quit the treatment voluntarily, 2 improved patients were transferred to a higher-level hospital, 3 patients were readmitted to our hospital after improvement of the situation, and 1 patient died. ConclusionThe most common symptom of AIDS was neural disease. The diagnosis should be based on clinical manifestations, and the epidemiological data should be used as reference. At the same time, attention should be paid to the admission assessment and good occupation protection, health education promotion, improvement of patients' quality of life, and reduction of the incidence of complications and mortality rate.
Patients with coronavirus disease 2019 may have systemic symptoms of varying degrees. These symptoms are related to inflammatory response, massive release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and cytokine storm. In recent years, programmed necrosis, as a controllable type of necrosis, is considered to be an important factor that mediates inflammation. Recent studies have shown that programmed necrosis is involved in the inflammatory response and pulmonary fibrosis of coronavirus disease 2019. This article mainly reviews the mechanism of programmed necrosis, its participation in the occurrence and development of coronavirus disease 2019, and the research progress of programmed necrosis inhibitors in the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019, aiming to provide a certain basis for the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019.
